At the end of the year 2016, ECO-INVESTMENT, a.s. company sucessfully ended the financing process of ordinary stock in Slovinian company Paloma d.d. worth of 18,2 bil EUR, and acquired the majority shareholding in the company. In accordance to Slovinian legislative, during the month of January 2017 ECO – Investment presented mandatory offer to buy the rest of the shares of the company, which was finally achieved 28th February 2017 acquiring of 99,7% of the share.
Paloma d.d. is slovinian company with more than 140 hundred history of production and product sale of paper hygiene. It has been the market leader on the south eastern Europe market. Approximately 700 hundred employees are employed within this company. 68 000 tons of products are produced annually and the income 85 mil Euro is achieved. The majority of products are designated for export to the southeast and western Europe. The state has been the controlling shareholder of Paloma company till the transaction has been realised.

The establishment of new paper machine allows Paloma to produce more than 100 000 tons of paper each year“ specified Fiľo.
Paloma company will become integral part of SHP group this year consisting of 4 manufacturing facilities in Sovakia, Croatia and Bosna and Herzegovina. The company is one of the biggest producers of paper hygiene in central and eastern Europe. The investor expects strengthening of his position on CEE market in 2017 with the capacity of more than 200 000 tons of hygienic paper and hygienic paper products annually. It expects 215 million Euro return with appropriate consolidation SHP and Paloma. Synergic efect allows both companies to compete adequately with the biggest international corporation like SCA or Metsa Tissue.
